Dr. Heller graduated from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and had a brief career in marketing. In 1998 she decided to follow her lifelong passion of caring for animals and enrolled in veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained her veterinary degree in 2002 and completed certification to become a veterinary acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2009. During her career, she has practiced general medicine, emergency medicine and toxicology in addition to holistic veterinary care. For the past several years she has dedicated her practice to holistic care, pet acupuncture and nutritional support, combining the best aspect of eastern and western medical philosophies in treating her patients.
Outside of work Dr. Heller enjoys family time with her children and husband (also a veterinarian). She is an avid snow skier and enjoys traveling, horse-back riding and yoga. The Heller family has 2 canine members, Bambi and Thumper, a bearded dragon named Yoda, three guppy fish and an aquatic frog named Survivor.
